Programs and Activities
The Programs and Activities of our YMCA are of varied and diversified nature from Youth Programs, Inter-Faith programs, Ecumenical programs, Medical and Health related programs etc. Our reach in diverse spheres also means that YMCA Kottayam has been able to carve out a place for itself in the socio-cultural profile of Kottayam.
YMCA Programmes in general
1. Sports, Games and Recreation
Basketball, Volley ball Club, Shuttle Badminton Club, Billiards Club, B & P Club, Chess and Caroms Club, Table Tennis Club, Bridge club, Native Ball Tournaments and other regular coaching camps.
2. Religious Activities
Week of Prayer, Bible Quiz Competition, Christmas and New Year Celebrations, Passion Recital, Family Fellowship
3. Cultural Activities
Painting Competition, Kiddies Competition, Chacha Nehru Look Alike Competition, Elocution Competition, Onam, Independence Day celebrations, Open Theatre for Drama, Film Screening and Cultural Academy for giving training to students in various fields of arts and culture.
4. Social Service Project
YMCA Bodhinilayam (Special School for the mentally challenged students) and Charity fund distribution.
